David Blauch, Vice President, Sr. Ecologist

Dave co-founded ERC based on his passion of the outdoors and multidisciplinary philosophy to environmental solutions. Dave has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental Resource Management from Pennsylvania State University specializing in wetland science and stream ecology.  Over the past 15 years Dave has provided consulting expertise to clients related to stream restoration/fisheries enhancement, wetland ecology, regulatory compliance and ecological restoration.

Professional Expertise:

• Stream Restoration/Fisheries Enhancement-aquatic habitat assessment, fisheries enhancement design development, cost estimating, project permitting, construction implementation and monitoring
• Wetland Ecology-wetland delineations/jurisdictional determination, Clean Water Act Section 404 compliance/permits, local and county wetland regulation, compensatory wetland mitigation design, construction implementation and monitoring
• Ecological Restoration-existing condition evaluation, habitat development, vegetation species selection, restoration plans, vegetation establishment, weed management
• Environmental Resources-natural resource inventories, GPS mapping, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Endangered Species Act Compliance, wildlife use analysis

Dave’s personal time is spent enjoying the great Colorado outdoors with his wife and son, fly fishing local waters, classic western rivers and tropical flats.  When the waters freeze he enjoys skiing Colorado’s great powder.
