Twin Creeks Mine Water Balance

Project Highlights:

• Client: Newmont  Twin Creeks Mine
• Location: Potosi District, Humboldt County, Nevada a conglomeration of heap leach pads, process facilities, ponds and water supply sources
• Developed a probabilistic water balance model
• Linked several of the pads together to predict the solution fluctuations within the system
• Complicated pad expansions during active leaching/closures concurrently in the system
• GoldSim  generated probabilistic model outcomes defining ranges of potential storage requirements
• Requirement models access possible risks and define contingency operations for upset condition
